After five days of swimming lessons, first let me say, that I was so glad to have two days off ... two days of locker room-freedom. If you're confused by that statement, perhaps you should start here.
Secondly, I must also admit that I am quite happy with Natalie's progress in the pool. She's learned to wait before entering the water, move her feet and arms in swimming-type motions, float "like a pancake" on her back while resting her head on my shoulder, and to go underwater ... as in submerge her entire head. Well, she doesn't actually do the submerging, I do but she let's me!
I was especially pleased to see our pool lessons in action at our neighborhood pool this evening. Natalie was able to apply all that she's learned in an outside setting. We also taught daddy everything that we know. She even asked to "jump" in the big pool with daddy catching her. In the kiddie pool Natalie was totally at ease and played by herself with me sitting on the edge - that's a first! Seeing her so confident in the water was great ... and makes all the locker room trauma totally worth it :)

Whoohoo! Way to go NHV! I need to get B back into a pool so he doesn't lose his love of the water.
I'm glad to read that you have seen improvements in Natalie's swimming....makes me think I should get Brody back in the water....but I'm not sure about that locker room. :)
