Anticipation

Signs of growth

Sighs of relief

Deep breaths

Tingle of anticipation

We found out at today's ultrasound appointment that BGV did make a marginal gain in her abdominal circumference.  I was not impressed by the very small number (she falls in the second percentile), but my specialist was ... to the point that she is now recommending an induction later this week, Monday at the latest ... rather than tomorrow.  Which means BGV gets a few extra days to grow and allow her lungs to mature a bit more!  Of course, that also means continued monitoring and more doctor's appointments, but ... whatever ;)  I should know the official "plan" tomorrow after seeing my OB for another non-stress test and cervix check ... woo hoo!

At this point, I have completely embraced the idea of an induction.  So many of you shared stories and insights to help me to get to this better place!  I know that drugs will initiate what my body already knows how to do I will trust my body as well as very close monitoring of the baby to see us both through to the very best possible outcome.

Ah, the anticipation of meeting her ... and sharing her with all of you ... is really starting to make me crazy ... in the best way!

You look so great! I am glad she is still growing and you are able to wait a few more days before the induction. I can't wait to meet her and hear all about your birth story and the story of Natalie meeting her new little sister :) I just wish you lived in the same Time Zone so when both babes were up at 4 AM we could chat :) I wish this baby would sleep.

Hugs to you this week....I will be thinking about you.

Aren't you just the cutest little preggie ever?

Lots of luck- you know your little one will be here soon.

I had an induction with my 3rd and I was so worried about it, too. But, it was so easy- the easiest of my 3 deliveries.

Yeah for growth!

I was induced with my second [almost a week overdue] and it was the easiest thing EVER. I was already dilated and contracting, I just needed pitocin to move things along.

I progressed from 6-10cm in an hour, and then only pushed for 7 minutes.

Glad to hear all is well ;-)

OMG!!! I'm on the edge of my seat! Spent the last few minutes catching up on your recent blogs (I've been neglecting blog world of late!) and all I can say is "Wow." What a rollercoaster you've been on! Best of luck this week and here's to meeting your healthy, happy baby in the near future! :)

Wow, I can't believe you're 36 weeks! you like all of 16 weeks! lol You're tiny! Good luck on the induction. Hope all goes well. Babies are the most wonderful blessing ever.

My advent calendar is a little heavy, but not bad. I used the smaller jars and the tray I used is plastic and super light. So it really isn't as heavy as you'd think. I hung it with only a ribbon supporting it.

Anyways, thanks for your comment. Take care!!

You look beautiful! You are certainly in for a lot of emotions in the next few days, but one you should remember is all your friends and family (in the real world and in the blog world) that love you and are sending you wonderful thoughts. Can't wait to meet BGV 2.0!

I was induced at 34 weeks and 2 days and it went very smoothly. It will all go well. No worries :)

Ps... YOU ARE TINY! I looked like someone strapped a Volkswagen to my stomach when I was pregnant. You laugh but I am totally serious. I was 4 months pregnant and people were patting my tummy saying "due any day now huh?" And don't even get me started on the twins and triplets comments! "wow how many ya got in there?" Ugh :(
