Nobody's Here

Natalie keeps - at random times - saying, "No-bod-ie's hewre."

What the heck does that mean? And why is it giving me such a serious case of the heebeegeebies?

I usually reply, "That's right, honey, nobody's here."

Or I'll say, "Mommy's here. Daddy's here. Natalie is here."

But she usually repeats it a few times and kind of shakes her head like she's trying to get the thought out of her head ... sometimes she even points to nothing in particular ... and it's freaking me out!

Has my two year old gone all sixth sense on me, or what?!

Tuck does that kinda thing too after we have had so many guests to try and get over the fact they have all gone :)

And, aren't you the one who runs and jumps into bed because of a long-running fear of things under your bed? Creepy.

I get freaked out turning off the lights at night and often run to the bedroom with my heart in my throat, I could prob use your small one at that point to reassure me that no "nobody's here" except us:)

I suppose it's better than "they're heeeeere" isn't it? Talking to ghosts doesn't mean much, it's when she sees them doing things you might worry...

I have goosebumps!! Maybe your house was built on some ancient burial land or something. Wait...that would mean my house is haunted too right?

Ohh, I definitely think little kids sense things that we don't. I remember sitting in a rocking chair in front of our window with my little one in my lap (years ago) and she pointed at the tree outside and said, 'do you see the man in the tree, mommy?' Creeped the heck out of me.

That is creepy! My friend's 2 year old would talk about his grandma as if she were in the room with him. She had passed away a year before. Again...creepy!

Hey...tripped over from Supah.

My kid did this all the time until he was almost five. He would tell us that god was telling him things, yet at the time...we weren't religious. It is totally freaky!
