One of those days ... hooray!

Yep, it's been one of those days that leave me with a feeling of contentment. Boy, did I need that! It's been one of those days when nothing really special happened, yet I feel truly blessed and somewhat relaxed. It's been one of those days that don't happen often enough, but now that it has I am practically glowing with gratitude.

Are you wondering what it's like to have one of those days?

Well, for me, it went a little something like this ...

• Made my bed ... with my new creamy delicious bedding!
• Cleaned my bathroom; I multi-tasked while blow drying my hair this morning.
• Washed and dried my hair - it's so rare to manage both!
• Felt cute (and somewhat put-together) when I walked out the door this morning ... on our way to a delightful playdate.
• Visited with mommy friends while NHV played and fell in love with a doll house.
• Served up a yummy lunch of chicken noodle soup and grilled havarti sandwiches (even though I seriously contemplated hitting a drive-thru because I can't stop thinking about french fries!)
• Read lots and lots of stories - and cuddled like crazy - with my sweet, smart little girl
• Took a seriously rockin' nap and still had an hour to myself before NHV woke up from her nap
• Talked to my dear friend Heather in VA; it was so good to hear her voice and catch up on the latest at the school where we both taught
• Had a silly and fun dance party with NHV; love having my iPod updated with kids' music and docked in her room!
• Vacuumed upstairs and down, which was probably more work than I should've done.
• Cooked a new recipe - uninterrupted while NHV played and pretended and made a huge mess
• Savored delicious Spinach Chicken Parmesan and heard rave reviews from hubby
• Waved good bye to NHV and her daddy was they set out for a walk to the park
• Cleaned up the kitchen - it's spotless
• Looked around, breathed a deep sigh of relief, and realized ...

I just had one of those days ... hooray!
