A Visit to Remember

Since last Wednesday (after a delayed and rebooked flight), my friend Heather, her husband Tyson, and their two a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e kiddos have been visiting here in the NW. That's Katie and Ben up there with my Natalie. I've had a blast taking pics of all three of them at the various parks, on hikes, around the house, ... can you even stand how cute they are?! Those faces!

No surprise ... the weather wasn't been the greatest; we've had mostly overcast days, and it even rained here today - for the first time in months. But I think they expected those conditions, and it hasn't stopped us from seeing the sites. And we did have awesome blue skies last evening for a trip to Alki Beach in West Seattle - the skyline was fantastic!

Meeting the needs of three young ones (and dealing with Natalie's awful case of two-year molar blues) hasn't been easy. And I will admit that I've felt a little overwhelmed at times; perhaps even lost my cool. However, I am so, so, so glad that Heather and her family made the trip, all the way from one Washington to another, to spend time with my family. I just can't allow myself to think about how much I'll miss them when they leave tomorrow evening ...

Traveling, being a guest or hosting always bumps up the pressure, but what great blessings are those visits! Glad you enjoyed yours!

Glad that things came together for your visit! I agree with EJ...I need my Dana and NHV fix! And you need some snuggle time with Taylor, especially now that she is turning into a sweet baby girl!
